Thermal Transfer Overprinter
The CPL thermal transfer overprinter is based on a thermal printing strip and thermal transfer foil. The printing strip consists of glass ceramic material with 8 dots per mm (300 dpi). The printing data is processed in the thermal strip and the individual printing dots heated as required. This causes the colour crystals in the activated areas to be transferred to the product in question. TTO technology can be used for variable marking of all flexible packaging materials either when stationary or in continuous movement. Alpha-numeric symbols, charge numbers, real-time data, graphics and barcodes can all be represented as required.

Printhead Drive & Construction
The patented stepper motor controlled printhead drive system of the Thermocode eliminates any need for compressed air to control pressure to the printhead enabling superior print quality whilst lowering printhead pressure and thus sharply extending print engine life. This feature combined with its self-leveling printhead and spy-chip technology provides the ideal printhead drive system.
Self-Leveling Printhead
Automatically self-leveling printhead with Spy Chip technology measures and records ideal print parameters so that printhead is controlled through sensors to be exactly parallel with product being printed at distance of exactly 0.7mm from the product with automatic adjustment of printhead pressure and all other parameters
Saves time and nuisance for operators since there is no need to adjust the printer and bracketry each time they change the product and/or message
Increased printhead life and print quality since the printhead automatically makes all the adjustments required for optimal printing at the lowest pressure and distance from product possible
Printhead pressure and print quality remains controlled even if bracket is not perfectly positioned
